It's clearly not a technical issue, as eM Client has solved it completely and without the use of add-ins and third party services. I honestly don't understand why MSFT is so unwilling to incorporate real-time sync with Gmail. For someone who does most of their work from a desktop environment, em Client solved my dilema. The eM Client interface will be extremely familiar to Outlook 2016 users, with a number of significant improvements: 1) real-time, bi-directional sync with Google calendar Ģ) built-in contact and email de-duplicator and 3) integrated chat.

I'm using now is eM Client, a desktop mail/calendar/contact/chat client for Windows 10. I'm forced to use Google calendar (personal version) for work-related scheduling, but prefer and/or Outlook 2016 desktop client.
